It is important for all traffic managers and shipping clerks to understand the fuel price within your region to make sure all trucking companies are in line with their fuel surcharge percentage or per mile surcharge.  The Diesel Fuel Price Index is provided by the Department of Energy (DOE) and is released every Monday morning approximately 1 PM EST.
